Collection: HLB Tolerant Citrus Varieties
Huanglongbing (HLB), commonly known as citrus greening, is a bacterial disease spread by the Asian citrus psyllid that has impacted citrus-growing regions around the world, especially areas with warm climates and high citrus populations.
While no citrus variety should be considered completely immune to HLB, certain varieties have shown better performance when exposed to the disease. These selections have been reported to maintain healthier growth, continue producing quality fruit, or show improved tolerance compared to more susceptible varieties.
If you live in an area where HLB is present or are planning ahead for the possibility of future exposure, these citrus varieties may be worth growing as part of your collection.
