20" - 28" tall Sanguinelli Blood Orange Tree
This Spanish blood orange is a limbsport of Doblefina. This is a midseason blood orange that ripens December to February. It is a small to medium sized tree that is very productive. The fruit is said to be similar to Doblefina but larger and often asymmetrical. Rind and flesh coloration is much more intense and constant, the external red pigmentation is rarely equaled by other blood oranges. The fruit tends to hang on the tree longer than Doblefina, is one of the deep blood varieties, and has a great tart citrus flavor.
If you are growing blood oranges or want to, this is a variety that is worth having in your garden.
This tree is grafted.
